Overview
Trident Staff is searching for a seasoned IT Business Development Manager to spearhead client acquisition efforts within the Canadian staffing and workforce solutions sector. This role is fully remote and commission-based, tailored for accomplished staffing sales experts with a solid history of success in IT staffing sales. The focus is strictly on generating business, fostering strategic partnerships, and closing deals, while internal teams focus on recruitment and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new staffing clients nationwide in Canada.
- Develop and maintain relationships with enterprise corporations, consulting agencies, MSP/VMS programs, and direct corporate clientele.
- Drive business growth through diverse strategies including cold calling, networking, LinkedIn outreach, referrals, and targeted sales campaigns.
- Maintain an active, robust sales pipeline focused on long-term revenue generation.
- Promote a range of solutions such as contract staffing, contract-to-hire, permanent placement, and project-based engagements.
- Engage with key stakeholders like HR, Talent Acquisition, Procurement, Operations, and IT leaders to navigate enterprise procurement channels and MSP/VMS frameworks.
- Lead meetings, negotiate contractual terms, and oversee the sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
- Keep precise CRM data, sales forecasts, and pipeline records up to date.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of business development experience in the staffing or recruitment landscape.
- Proven track record selling IT staffing/workforce solutions within the Canadian market.
- Strong skills in generating new business and cultivating enterprise client relations.
- Thorough understanding of various staffing models including contract, contract-to-hire, permanent, and project-based staffing.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and consultative sales capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise clients, consulting firms, and MSP/VMS program environments.
- Established contacts among HR, Talent Acquisition, Procurement, or IT decision-makers in Canada.
- Self-driven, goal-oriented, and comfortable operating independently in a commission-driven setup.
- Availability to serve clientele during Canadian business hours.
