Role Overview

This position is designed for results-oriented professionals who not only initiate opportunities but also develop and close deals successfully, contributing significant transaction volumes. As a Business Development Executive for Gate Pay, you will be responsible for the entire merchant acquisition cycle and partnership management, converting traditional Web2 businesses to adopt crypto payment solutions and fostering a pipeline of valuable partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and onboard merchants to use Gate Pay as their payment and settlement method.
• Convert Web2 businesses to implement crypto-enabled payment solutions such as payments, remittances, and on/off-ramp flows.
• Develop and manage a robust pipeline comprising crypto-native merchants, platforms, and users with high transaction volumes.
• Forge and maintain partnerships with wallets, payment service providers, fintech companies, and crypto infrastructure entities.
• Drive Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) through enabling continuous, recurring payment activities in your network.
• Oversee the complete sales process from initial contact through to integration and sustained account growth.
• Collaborate closely with merchants post-onboarding to ensure ongoing success and adoption.
• Identify new merchant segments and innovative opportunities to enhance the reach of crypto payment adoption.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in Business Development or Sales, with significant exposure to cryptocurrency, Web3, or digital assets.
• Demonstrated success in merchant acquisition, payment partnerships, or business development within Web3 ecosystems.
• Established network in one or more areas including: Web2 merchants (e-commerce, digital services, cross-border businesses), crypto-native merchants or platforms, PSPs, fintech firms, or payment infrastructure providers.
• Proven ability to convert relationships into measurable transaction volumes and revenues rather than just meetings.
• Strong execution orientation, results-driven mindset, and eagerness to work swiftly.
• Fluency in both English and Mandarin is a must.
