Role overview
Alkimii is hiring a motivated and inquisitive Business Development Executive to join its Growth team in Skerries, Fingal, Ireland. This position sits at the top of the sales funnel, where the main focus is to spot new opportunities, connect with prospective customers, and create a healthy pipeline to support expansion across the UK and Ireland.
The company builds a SaaS platform for hospitality businesses, helping teams simplify people and property operations, improve internal communication, and make better day-to-day decisions from one place. The Growth team is central to how the business scales.
This opportunity is well suited to someone who already has a base in outbound sales and is ready to take on more responsibility. It may particularly appeal to a BDR with around 1 to 2 years of experience who wants exposure to the wider sales cycle and a pathway toward Account Executive or other commercial roles.
What you will do
- Research and identify target accounts across the UK and Ireland.
- Reach out to prospects using outbound methods such as calls, email, LinkedIn, and social selling.
- Arrange valuable meetings for the Senior Account Executive team.
- Experiment with and improve outreach methods to raise response and conversion rates.
- Lead initial discovery conversations to understand prospect needs and current workflows.
- Assess opportunities against the ideal customer profile.
- Hand over qualified leads in a clear and structured way to the sales team.
- Keep HubSpot records accurate and fully updated.
- Monitor calls, emails, and meetings against weekly activity goals.
- Maintain strong data quality to support reporting and forecasting.
- Use modern sales tools and AI-enabled outreach platforms to work more efficiently.
- Work closely with Senior Account Executives on target accounts and deal strategy.
- Coordinate with Marketing on inbound leads and campaign follow-up.
- Share customer and market insights that can improve messaging and targeting.
What success looks like
- You regularly generate qualified meetings for the sales team within your first six months.
- You develop a solid understanding of the market and customer needs.
- You become confident handling discovery conversations.
- You actively improve your outreach and messaging based on results.
- You meet or surpass weekly and monthly activity targets.
What they are looking for
- Previous experience in sales, business development, or a customer-facing role.
- Comfort with phone-based outreach and relationship building.
- Strong organisation and the ability to manage your own pipeline.
- Ownership of targets and a results-driven mindset.
- Curiosity and motivation to learn about SaaS and hospitality.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Experience working with CRM tools such as HubSpot.
- Careful attention to detail and reliable follow-through.
- Permission to work in Ireland.
Preferred background
- Experience in B2B or SaaS environments.
- Familiarity with modern sales software, including automation, outreach, and reporting tools.
- Interest in moving into an Account Executive or Sales Operations role.
- Hospitality experience, such as hotel management, combined with strong interpersonal and commercial awareness.
Benefits and culture
- Competitive full-time pay with commission opportunities.
- Wellbeing support along with learning and development opportunities.
- A flexible working week focused on productivity and team wellbeing.
- Meaningful, challenging work in a relaxed and supportive environment.
- Employee referral program worth 4,000.
- Employee benefits through Clevercards.
- Hybrid working in Ireland.
- Quarterly team meet-ups and an annual company gathering.
