The company is headquartered in Spain and operates engineering centres across India, China, the Middle East, and Colombia, supporting projects in Upstream, Downstream, Circular Economy, and Energy Transition markets.

Role Overview

NOVARGI is expanding its regional presence and is looking for a Business Development Specialist to work from its Dubai office in the UAE. This is an individual-contributor role focused on building business across the Middle East, spotting new opportunities, strengthening commercial partnerships, and supporting long-term growth in line with the company’s global direction.

The role calls for a strong commercial approach along with a good grasp of engineering services in the Oil & Gas and broader energy sectors.

What You Will Do

  • Shape and deliver the business development plan for the Middle East in line with NOVARGI’s wider business goals.
  • Identify, assess, and develop opportunities in Oil & Gas and other energy-related process engineering projects.
  • Track market movements, competitor activity, and client investment plans to spot opportunities and manage risk early.
  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with clients, EPC contractors, licensors, technology partners, and other strategic contacts.
  • Serve as the primary commercial point of contact during the early stages of project development.
  • Represent NOVARGI at meetings, industry conferences, networking events, and other professional forums in the region.
  • Lead or coordinate commercial proposals, pre-qualification submissions, and bids with support from engineering, project management, and corporate teams.
  • Assist with contract discussions alongside senior leadership and legal teams.
  • Make sure proposals reflect technical capability, commercial goals, and risk controls.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project delivery teams to ensure a smooth handover from sales into execution.
  • Coordinate with headquarters to align regional opportunities, forecasts, and strategic priorities.
  • Prepare recurring reports for senior management covering pipeline status, sales performance, and market outlook.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or a closely related field; a master’s degree or MBA is considered an advantage.
  • At least 12 to 15 years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles within Oil & Gas or energy engineering.
  • Hands-on exposure to EPF / EPC project development and the sale of engineering services.
  • A well-established network in Oil & Gas, energy, and industrial markets.
  • Practical understanding of project phases, from concept and development through execution.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Arabic language skills are a plus.
