The Small Business team is focused on delivering strong banking support to New Zealand businesses. The team aims to provide outstanding service by understanding each customer’s business, their priorities, and the outcomes they want to achieve.

The role

As a Business Banking Specialist in the Small Business Centre, you will work in a phone-based team responding to inbound customer enquiries and supporting a wide variety of requests that help customers move toward their financial goals. A key part of the position is preparing credit submissions for lending and identifying what financial support each customer requires.

You will also be expected to offer practical solutions across a range of banking products and services, while actively looking for opportunities to strengthen each customer’s banking relationship with the business.

This is a permanent position based at the Sylvia Park Regional Centre.

About you

The ideal candidate will be an experienced banker who enjoys working as part of a team, takes initiative, and is genuinely committed to excellent customer service. A minimum of 2 years of lending experience is required.

Success in this position depends on strong time management in a busy, fast-moving environment. You should be comfortable building and sustaining relationships with both internal colleagues and external customers, with a strong drive to work hard and deliver positive outcomes.
