Role Overview
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Product Innovation in the Specialty Health division of McKesson Canada, this Business Analyst position plays a crucial role on a high-impact product innovation team. The role requires close collaboration with business, product, and technology teams to shape and advance a transformative healthcare platform. The primary goal is to utilize strategic insights to guide the product roadmap, enhancing outcomes for patients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a domain expert and advocate for customers and internal stakeholders, supporting delivery of advanced digital experiences focused on patient support programs.
- Work collaboratively with product managers, business leaders, and technical teams to gather, document, and convert business requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Evaluate existing business procedures to spot automation and efficiency opportunities aligned to strategic priorities.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog to maximize business value and ensure development teams remain focused and unblocked.
- Lead and engage in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily scrums, and retrospectives, facilitating project momentum.
- Perform gap analyses and impact assessments on proposed features, while defining and monitoring performance indicators.
- Align business objectives with technical solutions throughout the product lifecycle, validating that deliverables meet requirements.
- Maintain thorough documentation and traceability of requirements; assist in change management and training to promote adoption of new solutions.
- Utilize qualitative and quantitative analyses to support product decision-making, ensuring adherence to privacy regulations and company policies.
- Encourage continuous operational enhancements and foster a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive workplace culture reflective of McKesson’s values.
Qualifications
- Possession of a bachelor's degree is required; certifications in business analysis are preferred.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in business analysis with at least five years in healthcare-related technology roles.
- Experience in the biopharma field, particularly involving patient support programs, is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with the Salesforce platform along with digital product launches and system migration projects is beneficial.
- Strong analytical mind-set with proficiency in agile and Scrum frameworks.
- Solid understanding of product development life cycles.
- Exceptional communication abilities to transform complex business needs into understandable requirements.
- Experience working in dynamic, regulated environments.
- Proven skill in fostering collaboration and relationship-building across diverse stakeholders.
