Business Analyst - Retail Banking (Mid-Level)

Overview

We are looking for a Mid-Level Business Analyst specialized in Retail Banking to assist in business transformation projects. The role involves collecting and analyzing business requirements, documenting functional specs, and working closely with business and IT teams to develop innovative retail banking solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze requirements from retail banking stakeholders.
• Conduct interviews and workshops with business users to capture needs.
• Create Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), user stories, and process maps.
• Evaluate current business processes and suggest enhancements.
• Perform gap analyses between business needs and current systems.
• Ensure traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, developers, QA, and project managers to support solution design.
• Participate in functional, integration, and user acceptance testing phases.
• Assist in production deployment and post-deployment support.
• Verify that delivered solutions align with business requirements.
• Support retail banking business initiatives across products including current and savings accounts, customer onboarding, digital/mobile/internet banking, cards, personal loans, consumer finance, payments and transfers, and customer information management.
• Liaise between business users and technical teams, clarifying functional requirements and supporting project meetings to ensure business goals are met by the final solution.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or related disciplines.
• Over 5 years of experience in business analysis.
• Demonstrated experience in retail banking projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent skills in communication and documentation.

Required Banking Experience

• Expertise in retail banking, digital banking, cards, customer onboarding, payments, personal loans, deposits, mobile banking, and internet banking.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in creating BRD, FRD, user stories, process mapping, BPMN/UML diagrams.
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Visio.
• Preferably knowledgeable in SQL, REST APIs, and Postman.

Preferred Experience and Certifications

• Experience with core banking systems such as Temenos Transact (T24), Finastra, Oracle Banking, Finacle, or similar digital banking platforms.
• Certifications like CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), PMI-PBA, Agile BA, or Scrum Fundamentals are advantageous.
