Business Analyst

About the role

Centorrino Technologies is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to contribute to complex technology and cyber security work in a high-paced delivery setting. The position partners with both business and technical teams to shape requirements, create robust analysis outputs, and help deliver secure solutions that meet operational needs.

This is a 12-month contract role based on-site in Brisbane or Canberra. The role calls for someone who is confident working with multiple stakeholders, can manage shifting priorities, and is comfortable operating in technically demanding environments and agile delivery teams.

Key responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to gather, analyse, rank, and confirm business and technical requirements across complex delivery programs.
• Create and maintain high-quality business analysis outputs such as requirements packs, process maps, use cases, operating models, traceability records, and test-related documents.
• Convert business needs into implementation-ready outputs that can be used effectively in agile delivery cycles.
• Contribute to governance, assurance, and accreditation tasks, including security-related documentation, risk analysis, controls mapping, and audit-support materials.
• Keep project information accurate and up to date in Jira and Confluence to support traceability and transfer of knowledge.
• Run workshops, meetings, and stakeholder sessions to support alignment and informed decisions across technical and non-technical groups.
• Assist with system testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing through test case preparation, validation support, and defect tracking.
• Use established business analysis practices and continuous improvement methods to support delivery success.

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience as a business analyst on complex projects and programs.
• Strong ability to elicit, analyse, model, document, validate, and track requirements.
• Background working in agile, multi-disciplinary delivery teams within fast-moving and technically complex environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and navigate competing viewpoints.
• Ability to produce detailed, practical, and audit-ready documentation that supports governance and assurance needs.
• Well-developed analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a delivery-focused mindset.
• Hands-on experience using Jira and Confluence for workflow and documentation management.
• Understanding of cyber security, risk management, and secure delivery practices, particularly in government or enterprise settings.
• Capability to work autonomously while also contributing effectively to team outcomes.
