Job description
Role overview
MECCA Tech is looking for a seasoned Business Analyst to support and improve the business analysis function within its Technology organisation. This is a 2-year fixed-term position focused on raising the quality and consistency of analysis practices while helping deliver reliable requirements and solution design across the technology environment.
The position is very hands-on and involves converting business needs into practical, scalable technology outcomes across major functional areas such as People, Retail, Supply Chain, Finance, and wider enterprise systems. You will work closely with Technology and PMO colleagues to make sure requirements are clearly captured, properly documented, and aligned with MECCA’s technology direction and business goals.
The role calls for strong analytical thinking, solid problem-solving ability, and real delivery experience to help shape and implement effective solutions.
What you will do
- Run discovery sessions, analyse needs, and gather requirements for complex business and technology programmes while working with stakeholders to clarify goals, pain points, and opportunities.
- Create and keep up to date high-quality analysis outputs such as process maps, business requirements, technical requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and impact assessments.
- Partner with Product, Architecture, Engineering, QA, and Delivery teams to shape, check, and deliver solutions that are scalable, secure, and suitable for the business.
- Contribute throughout the full software delivery lifecycle, covering requirements definition, solution design, testing, UAT, release planning, and change management.
- Maintain strong governance, traceability, quality, and compliance by keeping documentation standards high, managing risks, and factoring in security and data privacy needs.
- Improve ways of working by spotting opportunities to streamline processes and systems, strengthening delivery practices, and helping advance Business Analysis standards.
What you will bring
- At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in complex enterprise settings, delivering technology and business initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to influence and collaborate across both business and technical teams.
- A proven ability to collect, interpret, and convert business needs into structured solutions and technical outcomes.
- Experience with enterprise systems, integrations, APIs, data flows, and large platforms such as HRIS, Retail, Supply Chain, or ERP systems.
- Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and organisational capabilities, including the ability to juggle competing priorities in complex environments.
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models and using tools like Jira while collaborating closely with Product, Architecture, Engineering, and QA teams.
- Working knowledge of data governance, security, privacy, and compliance expectations, with a strong focus on quality and continual improvement.
Benefits and perks
- Access to professional development initiatives and a strong digital learning platform.
- Health and wellbeing programmes.
- Reward and recognition schemes.
- Participation in bonus and incentive plans.
- Quarterly product allowance.
- Generous employee discount for you and your immediate family, plus a product allowance, subject to company policy.
- A workplace culture that celebrates achievements and keeps the team connected to the broader MECCA story.
