Role Summary
The company is hiring a Business Analyst to join its Analytics Group. This team focuses on descriptive and prescriptive analysis, client reporting, relationship management, and cross-functional coordination. The role involves turning complex data into clear insights, spotting trends, answering client questions, supporting proposals and deliverables, and helping expand the team’s impact. Candidates must live within commuting distance of the Detroit (Troy), New York, or Chicago office to work in a hybrid setup.

What You Will Do
- Work with Analytics Engineering, Data Science, Strategic Planning, and other internal teams.
- Help strengthen the company’s analytics capabilities.
- Partner with agency and client stakeholders to define analytical needs, recommend methods, and execute work independently when needed.
- Collaborate internally to improve workflows and enhance data quality in assigned areas.
- Build a data visualization process to support data quality validation.
- Combine data from multiple sources such as Circana, Nielsen, Numerator, media vendors, customer POS systems, shopper loyalty databases, consumer research, and category management tools to uncover growth opportunities.
- Prepare and own client-facing reports with strong visual storytelling.
- Evaluate business processes and identify opportunities to improve them.
- Create business requirements and technical specifications for new systems and processes.
- Act as a bridge between business teams and technical teams to keep projects aligned.
- Support broader agency initiatives.
- Demonstrate accountability, ownership, resilience, and collaboration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- 1 to 5 years of experience handling data.
- Experience in consumer marketing, retail, or CPG is an advantage.
- Strong interest in data, analytics, and evidence-based decision-making.
- Ability to present insights visually in a way that supports action.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage several clients and projects at once.
- Self-driven work style with a high standard of quality and efficiency.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Digital or marketing analytics knowledge is helpful but not mandatory.
- Prior use of IRI or Nielsen data is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization tools is beneficial.
- Exposure to Python and R is a plus.
- Basic SQL proficiency is required.
- Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Compensation
The annual pay range for this role is USD 55,765 to USD 85,878. Final compensation will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and the needs of the position. The company may revise the pay range at any time.
