Role Overview

We are seeking a committed Business Analyst to lead the discovery, design, and implementation of system and data initiatives that support effective fundraising. Working primarily with Salesforce (NPSP), Marketing Cloud, and associated technologies, this role will identify opportunities for system and process enhancements, oversee projects from concept to completion, and develop data governance frameworks to ensure data integrity and management. This position merges hands-on technical work with strategic oversight to optimize organizational impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert complex business requirements into detailed specifications, user stories, and process designs, performing hands-on configuration as necessary.
• Manage projects comprehensively from initial discovery through delivery, including timeline and risk management, and coordinate with vendors and partners when applicable.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement automation and process improvements to streamline operations.
• Establish and maintain data governance practices that uphold data quality, standards, and accountability.
• Facilitate sustainable change through detailed process documentation and effective training and communication strategies.
• Support data-related activities including extraction, analysis, and reporting to aid broader team functions.

Work Arrangement

This full-time role is based in Sydney with a flexible hybrid work model requiring at least two days per week onsite (Tuesdays and Wednesdays).

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Strong dedication to Caritas Australia's mission addressing poverty, injustice, and human dignity aligned with Catholic Social Teaching.
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Information Technology, Data, or related fields.
• Several years' experience as a business analyst or in a comparable analytical role within CRM or data-centric settings.
• Proven ability to lead projects effectively from initial discovery through to successful rollout.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms, particularly the Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP), is highly advantageous.
• Exceptional analytical abilities with a talent for translating organizational needs into actionable and clear technical requirements.
• Excellent communicator adept at engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
