Job Overview

The LEGO Group is looking for an enthusiastic Brand Manager to join their Sydney-based Marketing team on a 12-month contract, covering parental leave. This role involves developing and executing innovative local marketing campaigns that foster a beloved brand and connect with future builders by transforming consumer and market insights into compelling marketing initiatives.

Core Responsibilities

  • Act as the product and audience expert for an assigned portfolio within the LEGO brand.
  • Create and launch innovative marketing strategies based on consumer insights that bolster brand equity and increase active engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with teams across Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Business Intelligence ensuring cohesive audience strategies and organizational goals are met.
  • Monitor competitors' activities and market trends to adapt audience strategies proactively.
  • Contribute to pricing decisions and assortment planning for the product portfolio.
  • Engage as an active participant in the Global Brand Marketing Network aligned with relevant themes.
  • Develop media strategies that integrate both traditional and digital channels in partnership with agencies.
  • Manage commercial partner relationships relevant to the assigned portfolio and target audiences.
  • Contribute to business unit strategy development and consumer communications planning.
  • Coordinate presentations of theme assortments and marketing efforts during key sales and collaboration meetings annually.
  • Lead consumer sales recommendations including monthly forecasts and active involvement in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP).
  • Conduct weekly analysis of theme and product performance, working cross-functionally to implement rapid performance improvements as required.
  • Adopt a continuous improvement approach, leveraging campaign reviews, global benchmarks, and commercial performance analyses.
  • Oversee budgets for multiple brands and marketing campaigns effectively.

About the Team

This role is part of the ANZ Marketing Organization, reporting to the Brand Director. The broader marketing team includes Digital Marketing, Trade Marketing, Brand Relations, and Marketing Planning divisions reporting to the Senior Director, Head of Marketing.

  • Proven experience in consumer goods with a focus on brand or product management.
  • Strong marketing knowledge combined with commercial acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive brand growth and monitor health metrics effectively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation capabilities.
  • Robust analytical skills with the ability to utilize data to fuel business outcomes.
  • Effective team player with experience collaborating across departments to realize plans.
  • Strong organizational skills and capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently.
