About Founders Pledge
Founders Pledge is a mission-driven organization established in 2015, dedicated to enabling entrepreneurs to maximize their philanthropic impact. With a global community exceeding 2,200 members, they have collectively pledged nearly $13.6 billion and contributed over $1.8 billion to charitable causes across more than 45 countries. Their offering includes comprehensive giving infrastructure, pioneering research, and access to a broad network of experts, helping technology leaders become strategic philanthropists. Notable members include founders and executives from prominent companies such as Airbnb, UiPath, Dropbox, Skype, Spotify, and Uber. The organization prioritizes deploying capital for optimal impact using evidence-based, analytical, and long-term approaches.
Role Overview
The Brand & Graphic Designer will play a crucial role within the Product, Technology, and Communications team, reporting to the Director of Communications & Marketing. This position focuses on preserving and advancing the visual brand identity across all external channels. The designer will produce marketing materials targeted at diverse audiences, consistently enhance the website, and create compelling narratives for platforms like LinkedIn and newsletters. A keen affinity for design details—typography, hierarchy, clarity—and styles influenced by the golden ratio and Bauhaus principles is essential. Collaboration with the in-house UX/UI designer ensures brand cohesion across internal and public-facing products, with primary responsibility for the brand's external appearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Elevate and refine the organization’s established brand system, creating consistent new assets aligned with evolving style guidelines.
- Manage and update an organized design system including Figma libraries and master templates to maintain design efficiency and cohesion as the organization scales.
- Create and tailor a variety of brand assets ranging from original illustrations to wireframes for web pages, adjusting approach based on format and audience such as social graphics, detailed charts, and reports.
- Ensure typography excellence to make text-rich marketing collateral visually appealing and easy to comprehend.
- Control the entire design process from brief through to final production, guaranteeing technical precision and contextual optimization.
- Enhance digital channels including website landing pages, emails, social media content (static and motion), and diverse marketing collateral like presentations, case studies, and one-pagers.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Communications, Marketing, Growth, Advisory, Events, Research, Fundraising teams, and Product Managers to deliver unified visual stories that resonate across all campaign media.
Candidate Profile
- Deep appreciation for excellent design principles such as restraint, structure, and thoughtful layout over mere decoration.
- Proactive, self-managed work style motivated by responsibility and quality delivery without need for constant supervision.
- Clear articulation of design choices explaining how they solve communication challenges, bridging concept and execution fluidly.
- Adaptable across digital formats and visual demands, capable of generating multiple creative solutions under constraints.
- Effective communicator contributing to positive team culture and high craftsmanship standards.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Approximately 3 to 5 years of professional experience in graphic or visual design, either agency or in-house.
- Proficiency in creating visual assets optimized for multiple platforms including websites, emails, PDFs, and social media.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign; familiarity with Premiere or After Effects is advantageous.
- Strong command of Figma for collaborative digital design and library management.
- Experience designing visually compelling presentations, preferably using Google Slides.
- Basic knowledge of website wireframing; full UX expertise not required but preferred.
- Additional skills such as HTML/CSS basics, video editing, and illustration capability are beneficial.
- Experience in data visualization and infographic creation is highly preferred.
- A robust portfolio showcasing diverse project types including text-intensive material, digital, illustrative, and social media work.
Compensation
Salary offered: £55,000 per annum.
