Role Overview

The Brand Creative Designer for RRL will partner with the Brand Creative and Product Design teams on a broad range of seasonal creative work. The role is centered on building pattern and graphic assets for apparel and accessories, while helping deliver polished, production-ready creative across print, packaging, presentations, and digital needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out photo research to help build concept references and seasonal inspiration direction.
  • Develop fresh print and pattern concepts that support each season’s creative theme.
  • Create graphics for T-shirts, embroidery, prints, appliqués, patches, and branded trims for apparel and accessories.
  • Work with the Brand Creative team on packaging, hangtags, labels, and similar collateral.
  • Apply color to seasonal 2D Illustrator sketches based on guidance from Product Design or the Creative Director, with an emphasis on print- and pattern-led styles.
  • Build conceptual stat layouts for each season.
  • Produce artwork ready for manufacturing, including allover and engineered fabric prints, while respecting mill/printer constraints and Ralph Lauren legal standards.
  • Verify that all graphic files are prepared for production and coordinate with Product Design on sizing, colorways, and logo/print placement.
  • Support Product Design and PMT by reviewing strike-offs and submits and advising on final garment execution.
  • Create and organize files in Figma for web design work.
  • Help develop imagery for showroom presentations.
  • Keep asset libraries well organized so brand history remains accessible and easy to reference.
  • Monitor current market trends, techniques, and creative approaches.
  • Prepare both printed and digital presentation materials when needed.
  • Contribute to special assignments as requested.

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and XD.
  • Working knowledge of Pointcarre or Apex for pattern development.
  • Strong hand-drawing and painting ability.
  • Good understanding of repeat creation and allover print development.
  • Working knowledge of typography.
  • Prior experience in apparel graphic design.
  • Familiarity with production methods for T-shirts, logos, trims, and related items.
  • Strong creative ability, particularly within vintage and heritage-inspired directions.
  • Knowledge of RRL’s heritage and visual style is an advantage.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Self-driven attitude and a collaborative team mindset.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this role is $65,000 to $129,225.

This is a full-time, onsite position based in New York, NY.
