Role Overview

The Brand and Communications Manager will lead the formulation and execution of the company's communications and public relations strategies across Europe, focusing on trade media relations to enhance the company's industry stature. This role is crucial for managing relationships with trade press, industry influencers, and associations, ensuring communication efforts align with commercial goals and regional brand expansion, particularly in Germany.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture connections with key European trade journalists, editors, and publishers within the tyre and mobility sectors.
  • Constantly expand a robust network of media contacts across major European markets.
  • Spot and leverage media opportunities to increase company visibility, manage media inquiries, and coordinate interviews featuring company leadership and technical teams.
  • Organize media briefings, press events, product showcases, and participation in industry fairs.
  • Design and implement a pan-European PR strategy enhancing corporate reputation and supporting business aims.
  • Create compelling press releases, media kits, feature stories, executive messaging, and opinion editorials.
  • Coordinate communications for new product launches, tech advancements, sustainability efforts, partnerships, and corporate milestones.
  • Maintain consistency in messaging across all external communication channels; steer crisis communication and reputation management with global collaboration.
  • Identify opportunities for keynote speaking, industry awards, publications, and panel participation; monitor competitor and industry communications to discover new opportunities.
  • Produce engaging and technically accurate content targeting trade audiences, working closely with product management, R&D, marketing, and sales.
  • Plan integrated PR campaigns supporting commercial strategies; evaluate media coverage and KPIs to report performance and propose improvements.
  • Draft speeches, presentations, opinion pieces, and executive communications for senior management.
  • Lead regional marketing strategies for Germany in alignment with broader European objectives and budgets.
  • Serve as the marketing lead for the German market; support revenue growth through targeted marketing efforts and maintaining close customer relationships.
  • Assist key account management with tailored marketing plans, presentations, digital content, sales tools, and specific activation initiatives.
  • Help organize customer events, dealer meetings, training, product demos to bolster customer engagement.
  • Ensure regional marketing initiatives align with corporate brand guidelines while tailored to local market needs.

Candidate Profile

  • Possession of a bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum of six years' professional experience in trade communications, PR, or corporate communications.
  • Proficiency in English and German (at least B2 level) is mandatory.
  • Preferably experienced in automotive, tyre, mobility, industrial manufacturing, or similar B2B sectors.
  • Proven ability to cultivate and sustain strong relationships with European trade media.
  • Extensive network among automotive, tyre, transport, and mobility trade press across Europe.
  • Excellent storytelling and editorial skills with knack for simplifying complex technical details.
  • Strong strategic communication planning and execution skills for impactful PR initiatives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, project management, and organizational capabilities.
  • Solid business insight related to B2B communications; experienced with media monitoring and analytics tools.
  • Comfortable operating in an international, multi-disciplinary setting.
