Role Summary

The Branch Manager will oversee the assigned branch, strategically managing resources and driving sales initiatives to meet established business objectives. This leadership role is critical for enhancing market presence and brand recognition while maintaining cost efficiency.

Challenges

  • Maintaining retention of a skilled sales team amidst intense competition.
  • Ensuring the recruitment of quality advisors despite limited ability to personally vet every candidate.
  • Enhancing the knowledge base of new advisors despite low attendance in training sessions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve branch targets such as agent count, productivity, new premium acquisition, and business persistency. This includes market opportunity analysis and coordination with headquarters.
  • Enhance field force productivity through effective people management including regular training, performance reviews, and motivation initiatives.
  • Maintain high levels of business persistency by conducting random quality checks and ensuring thorough post-sale customer service.
  • Foster financial discipline in the branch by controlling cash transactions and managing budgets for capital and operational expenses.
  • Ensure full compliance with operational policies and regulatory guidelines, providing timely updates to sales and operations staff on process and underwriting changes.
  • Lead promotional campaigns for sales and recruitment by coordinating with head office teams and delivering consistent promotional efforts to existing and potential clients.
  • Recommend improvements to products, processes, and customer service based on customer feedback to boost efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Manage branch administration effectively to support smooth and cost-efficient operations.
  • Champion team development through constant on-the-job training, coaching, mentoring, and job rotation to enhance skills and operational exposure.
