Position Overview
LSP Canada is seeking a full-time Bookkeeper for its London, Ontario office. The role focuses on providing Canadian bookkeeping services and tax preparation support, requiring practical experience in maintaining financial records for Canadian individuals and businesses in adherence to CRA standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain precise bookkeeping records for Canadian clientele.
- Accurately record and reconcile bank and credit card transactions.
- Manage all aspects of accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and meticulously maintain general ledgers.
- Assist with HST/GST filings and ensure proper CRA documentation.
- Organize bookkeeping data to facilitate the preparation of Canadian tax returns (T1/T2).
- Engage with Canadian clients to resolve any financial discrepancies.
- Ensure all financial records are kept organized and secure.
Qualifications & Skills
- Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping within a Canadian accounting context.
- Expertise in using QuickBooks Online (Canada).
- Solid understanding of Canadian bookkeeping principles and tax regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and effective time management capabilities.
Additional Requirements
- Must possess legal authorization to work in Canada.
- Required to be available for on-site work in London, Ontario.
Mandatory Requirements / Eligibility
- Previous experience serving Canadian clients and navigating CRA regulations is essential.
- Proficiency with Canadian tax forms and standard accounting methodologies.
- Must be legally permitted to work in Canada.
- Must be able to work on-site in Windsor, Ontario.
- Availability is required during the peak Canadian tax season, from February to April.
