Role overview
This full-time permanent production role is based in London, Ontario at 1577 Wilton Grove Rd. It is part of a carbon-neutral food company focused on improving nutrition, workplace safety, humane animal care, sustainability, and reducing food insecurity in Canada.
Work schedule
The standard schedule is Monday to Friday, five days a week, from 1:15 pm to 9:45 pm. Shift timing can change, and occasional Saturday overtime may be required. The vacancy exists due to an existing headcount need.
What you will do
- Support poultry production on the line while meeting health, safety, food quality, and food safety standards.
- Check product quality and verify that specifications are being met.
- Run production machinery, including setting parameters, observing performance, and flagging problems.
- Handle live poultry as part of the production process.
- Keep the line moving at the required pace to meet efficiency targets.
- Move birds to lead hangers so they can be hung correctly.
- Identify and fix missing or empty shackles, as well as birds that are not hung properly.
- Rotate through different tasks regularly to build cross-training across roles.
- Take on additional duties based on daily production needs and work overtime when needed.
- Carry out packaging, labeling, cleaning, and other assigned production tasks.

- Previous manufacturing or food production experience is helpful but not required.

Compensation
The role pays $24.55 per hour. Additional non-discretionary compensation may be available depending on the shift.
