Position Overview
Alignerr is seeking individuals with a background in Biology at the Masters level—either graduates or current students—to assist in training advanced AI models. By applying your expertise in biology, biochemistry, or biotechnology, you will play an essential role in enhancing AI's ability to tackle complex scientific challenges. No prior experience with AI is necessary; the role focuses on rigorous scientific reasoning and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Create challenging biology questions covering topics from undergraduate to Masters levels to thoroughly assess AI capabilities.
- Craft detailed, logical solutions showcasing precise scientific reasoning.
- Assess AI-generated responses for correctness, logical coherence, and quality of explanations.
- Work with researchers to refine evaluation criteria and improve AI’s treatment of advanced biological topics.
- Operate independently with flexible, asynchronous work hours, committing between 10 and 40 hours weekly.
Candidate Profile
- Currently enrolled in or holding a Masters degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a closely associated discipline.
- Strong aptitude for scientific problem-solving and analytical thinking within advanced biology topics.
- Excellent written communication skills, capable of expressing intricate ideas clearly and accurately.
- Comfortable with providing detailed and structured critiques.
- Highly detail-conscious and driven to produce quality work autonomously.
- Prior experience with AI is not required.
Additional Valuable Skills
- Familiarity with data annotation, quality control processes, or evaluation methodologies.
- Expertise in molecular biology, genetics, cell biology, or related specialties.
- Some knowledge of AI language models or experience with scientific benchmarking.
