Biologist

Position Overview

Join Crossing Hurdles as a Biologist on a contract basis, working remotely from Canada. This role offers a flexible commitment ranging from 10 to 40 hours per week with compensation between $70 to $90 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Take the lead in designing, refining, and performing gene editing experiments utilizing CRISPR technology.
• Develop and implement cloning strategies to create new genetic constructs and cell lines.
• Conduct genotyping, PCR assays, and sequence analyses to verify genetic alterations.
• Design synthetic DNA and RNA sequences and aid in establishing screening protocols for high-throughput processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for transforming experiment outcomes into data suitable for AI model training.
• Utilize molecular biology techniques to investigate molecules, organelles, and cellular structures.
• Maintain detailed and precise documentation of experimental workflows and findings to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications

• Proven expertise in CRISPR-based gene editing methodologies.
• Significant practical experience in cloning, genotyping, and PCR assay techniques.
• Strong proficiency in sequence design and molecular screening approaches.
• Excellent scientific communication skills with emphasis on accuracy and detail.
• Capability to conduct in-depth research into molecular and organelle functions within cells.
• Strong focus on data integrity, optimization of workflows, and experimental quality.
