Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Microbiologist for a contract role with flexible hours ranging from 10 to 40 per week. This remote position offers competitive pay between $70 and $90 per hour. The scientist will explore microscopic life forms including bacteria, fungi, and algae, contributing significant insights to medical microbiology and AI research projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze the development, structure, and behavior of microorganisms like bacteria, fungi, and algae.
- Support medical microbiology efforts by examining microorganism-disease interactions.
- Evaluate the effects of antibiotics and various agents on microbial populations to aid AI model precision.
- Thoroughly document experimental data focusing on clarity for artificial intelligence training.
- Work in cross-disciplinary teams ensuring scientific principles and data quality are upheld in AI applications.
- Offer expert microbiological knowledge verbally and in writing, emphasizing real-world and computational relevance.
- Use evaluation rubrics to assess data quality supporting AI training processes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or closely associated disciplines.
- Comprehensive understanding of bacterial, fungal, and algal biology.
- Proven ability in examining microbial anatomy and physiology.
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical information in multidisciplinary settings.
- Skill in documenting findings in ways suitable for incorporation into AI models.
- Capacity to work effectively autonomously within a fully remote, digitally-based setup.
