Billing Team Lead

About the Role

The Billing Team Lead position is available in the Finance Department of PrepayPower, based in a hybrid work setting at Sandyford, Dublin 18. This role will focus on overseeing and refining the domestic customer billing functions within the Domestic Billing and Group Collections unit. Reporting directly to the Billing Manager, the incumbent will utilize their expertise to enhance billing procedures continually.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee team workload and service delivery, ensuring alignment with targeted metrics and KPIs.
• Identify training requirements and provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
• Carry out performance reviews and deliver constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to resolve issues impacting revenue and customers.
• Ensure timely and accurate customer invoicing, refund management, and billing query resolution.
• Analyze billing data for consistency, accuracy, and compliance, including regular reconciliations.
• Drive process improvement initiatives and implement automation where applicable.
• Create reports and dashboards to monitor key operational metrics and inform leadership.
• Handle escalated billing disputes, coordinating with Sales and Customer Service teams for resolution.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for billing system projects and provide ad hoc support as necessary.

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum three years of relevant billing experience in a dynamic industry setting.
• Proven leadership skills in managing billing or similar teams.
• Strong analytical aptitude, problem-solving capabilities, and decision-making skills.
• Preferred experience in regulated sectors such as Energy or Telecommunications.
• Proactive approach with ability to independently research and resolve issues.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with SQL, Python, or comparable database and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Ability to interpret data insights and improve processes systematically.
• Adaptable with excellent organizational and priority management skills.
