About the Role
A prominent law firm in Dublin 2 is seeking a Billing Specialist to join their expanding department. This position offers a stable and varied work environment within a firm known for its excellent staff retention and a leading remuneration package. The role is designed for an individual with a keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage billing processes for assigned partners and solicitors.
- Accurately input and maintain client and billing data within the practice management system.
- Generate and distribute draft and final invoices.
- Develop billing narratives from Work In Progress reports and perform necessary calculations.
- Liaise with Fee Earners to ensure all billable time is recorded.
- Process approved invoices with the Accounts department.
- Prepare invoices according to specific client requirements.
- Address and resolve billing discrepancies, including rejections and appeals.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding client balances.
- Collaborate with legal staff on all billing-related inquiries.
- Support the setup of new client matters and other billing tasks.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems.
- Undertake additional administrative duties and special projects as assigned.
Skills and Experience
- A minimum of three years of experience in a billing role, with a preference for legal billing experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational and communication capabilities.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
- Demonstrated initiative in decision-making.
