Job description

Company overview

Bapcor Limited is a major Asia Pacific supplier of vehicle parts, accessories, equipment, services, and related solutions. The business is publicly listed on the Australian Securities Exchange and competes by delivering strong customer service, innovation, and a wide product range.

In New Zealand, Bapcor operates across Trade, Service, and Specialist Wholesale through brands such as BNT, Autolign, Truck and Trailer Parts, Precision Equipment, HCB Technologies, JAS Oceania NZ, and Diesel Distributors. Across New Zealand, Bapcor Automotive has more than 500 people on the team, while the wider group employs over 4,800 staff across more than 950 locations in Australia, New Zealand, and Thailand.

The company values doing the right thing, working together, caring about the outcome, and getting things done.

Role summary

This position suits a technically capable BI and systems professional who enjoys converting complex data into practical insights, building dashboards, improving platforms, solving issues, and assisting internal users. The role focuses on developing, supporting, and refining business intelligence tools and business systems that help the organisation make better data-led decisions.

Key responsibilities

You will be expected to design and support BI outputs, keep systems running smoothly, and help improve data quality and workflows across the business.

Qualifications and experience

The ideal candidate will have a background in information systems, computer science, data analytics, business intelligence, or a similar field, or equivalent relevant experience. Hands-on experience in BI or reporting development, especially dashboard and report creation using QlikSense or Power BI, is important.

You should bring strong SQL capability, including querying, data transformation, and data modelling, along with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and easy-to-use dashboards and visualisations. Good analytical thinking, problem-solving, and debugging skills are also required. Experience with Microsoft PowerApps and Power Automate would be an advantage, and Microsoft certifications in Power BI, Power Platform, SQL, or related tools are considered beneficial.

Additional information

Bapcor offers a workplace culture with a number of extras, including your birthday off each year, one paid volunteer day annually, free breakfast every morning, competitive pay, strong staff discounts on products, a flat organisational structure with access to senior leaders, and growth opportunities through the wider Bapcor group across New Zealand, Australia, and Southeast Asia.

Inclusion and accessibility

Bapcor promotes an inclusive hiring process and welcomes applicants of all ages, cultures, gender identities, abilities, and backgrounds. The recruitment process is intended to be fair, free from bias, and accessible. If you need reasonable accommodation during the application process, you can contact the company using the email provided in the source listing.

Safety

You are expected to follow all safe work practices, policies, procedures, and instructions to protect yourself and those around you.
