About the Role
The Beverage Manager at Rosewood Red Sea is entrusted with leading the design, rollout, and ongoing enhancement of a comprehensive beverage program that spans all outlets including restaurants, bars, lounges, poolside and beach venues, as well as event spaces and guest experiences. This role demands a beverage expert with profound technical knowledge, innovative flair, sound commercial judgment, and the skill to adapt international bar standards into a unified, high-quality resort-wide offering. The beverage selection and service should resonate with the refined expectations of an ultra-luxury property.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and continually improve the beverage services across every resort venue and service point.
- Ensure uniform quality of beverages, presentation, recipes, and service etiquette throughout the resort.
- Develop bespoke cocktails, wines, coffee, and non-alcoholic programs tailored to each venue's concept and aligned with the resort’s luxury branding.
- Benchmark offerings against elite global establishments such as the World’s 50 Best Bars.
- Organize regular, structured training sessions for bartenders, baristas, and beverage staff focusing on tastings, technical skills, and service rituals.
- Create engaging guest experiences like cocktail workshops, tasting events, guest mixologist sessions, and interactive activities.
- Establish and nurture strategic relationships with beverage brands, distributors, and partners to boost quality, visibility, and profitability.
- Supervise cost control measures, pricing strategies, inventory management, waste reduction, system integrity, and financial performance in collaboration with Finance and Purchasing teams.
- Conduct market analysis and competitor reviews to keep offerings competitively priced and well-positioned.
- Lead, mentor, and develop beverage supervisors and associates, fostering succession pathways and recognition programs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Between 3 to 5 years in progressively responsible beverage roles within luxury hotels, resorts, renowned bars, or upscale restaurant groups.
- In-depth expertise in non-alcoholic cocktails, spirits, wines, coffee, matcha, and sophisticated beverage service standards.
- Preferred experience contributing to award-winning or internationally acclaimed beverage programs.
- Extensive network or familiarity with beverage producers, distributors, guest mixologists, and industry partners.
- Strong financial skills, particularly in cost management, pricing, inventory control, supplier negotiations, and menu development.
- Demonstrated ability to train beverage teams to deliver high technical quality and exceptional guest service.
- Preferred experience with pre-opening activities in luxury or ultra-luxury resorts.
- Highly creative, commercially savvy, and disciplined in maintaining standards, processes, and flawless execution.
