Role overview

This position involves manufacturing battery-related products at a factory in Sagamihara City, Chuo Ward, Shimo-Kuzawa. Work is split across four possible production stages, and the final assignment is decided by the employer. The role is suited to people who want to build a career in manufacturing and includes the possibility of immediate dormitory placement.

Production stages

1) Mixing process — Powdered raw materials are loaded into equipment and blended inside a machine. The work includes handling roughly 20 kg of material at a time, placing it into the mixer, and operating the mixer unit. Because powdered ingredients are used, the workplace may become dirty.

2) Coating process — A material produced in the first stage is applied to metal foil using machinery. This job combines machine operation with movement along a passage of about 50 meters, so the work involves a large amount of walking, roughly 10,000 to 20,000 steps a day. Duties also include moving tanks containing raw materials and carrying out inspections.

3) Compression process — Products from the coating stage are pressed with a roller-type machine to apply pressure, and finished items are inspected. This is the stage where the product takes its final form. Basic computer work such as simple data entry and measurements is also part of the job.

4) Shipping and packing process — This stage focuses on packing, transporting, and shipping goods within the plant, with frequent round trips across the factory floor. Walking volume is also about 10,000 to 20,000 steps per day. Inspection work and machine operation may also be assigned here.

Additional notes

The assignment to a specific department will be determined by the client company. Immediate dormitory move-in may be possible, so applicants needing housing support should feel free to consult. There is a track record of more than five direct-hire or permanent employee conversions by the manufacturer every year through 2024. A qualification acquisition support system is available, and those without a forklift license may obtain one at no cost. Applicants can also submit their application together with friends.

Application profile

No prior experience is required, and the role is open to people with no degree, no qualifications, and those currently working as freelancers. Candidates with manufacturing experience are especially welcome, as are people moving from warehouse or logistics jobs. Forklift license holders are highly desired, but applicants without the license or prior forklift experience are also welcome.

The role is on-site and based in Sagamihara City, Chuo Ward, Shimo-Kuzawa. A remote interview option is available and a résumé is not required for the initial screening.
