Role overview
This position is for a Barista at Starbucks in Colchester Station. The role sits within SSP’s hospitality operations, serving customers in a lively, fast-moving environment.
The pay rate is £12.71 per hour. This is a part-time opportunity offering 16 hours per week.
Working hours run from 5:00am to 8:00pm, and the schedule requires flexibility across weekdays, weekends, bank holidays, and public holidays. A 5:00am start is essential for this role.
SSP operates well-known brands such as M&S, Starbucks, Burger King, and BrewDog across airports, train stations, and motorway service areas in the UK and Ireland.
What the job involves
- Creating a friendly, energetic experience for customers in a busy café setting.
- Preparing and serving drinks while learning a range of beverages and service skills.
- Explaining menu items and product details to customers, including tailored drink requests.
- Delivering prompt, welcoming service and keeping standards high throughout each shift.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and inviting workspace for customers and colleagues.
