Job description
Role Overview and Key Responsibilities
As a Barista, your main responsibility is to prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based beverages, and related food items to customers. You will guide patrons by understanding their coffee preferences and educating them about the menu, answering any questions they might have.
Specific tasks include crafting drinks according to established recipes, such as espresso, cafe lattes, and cappuccinos, as well as selling coffee products and brewing equipment by explaining differences in beans and machine operations.
Additional duties involve maintaining inventory levels by restocking coffee beans, brewing gear, and food supplies, ensuring equipment functionality through maintenance and troubleshooting, and fostering a safe and sanitary work environment by complying with health guidelines.
You will also contribute to enhancing quality and service by evaluating and refining store and coffee bar procedures and upkeep.
Candidate Profile
- Outstanding customer service abilities
- Previous experience as a Barista is an advantage
- Capability to follow oral and written instructions accurately and seek clarification when necessary
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Physical capability to perform all job-related tasks
