Job description

About the role

This part-time Banking Assistant opportunity in Glenfield is a great entry point into financial services. The role is designed for someone who is accurate, customer-focused, and keen to grow within a modern bank that supports internal movement into areas such as home lending, leadership, or technology.

You’ll be joining a team that values people, offers a supportive environment, and provides learning and development opportunities, along with benefits such as wellbeing days, subsidised banking and insurance, and more.

What you’ll do

  • Deliver warm, in-person service to customers with their everyday banking needs.
  • Handle deposits, withdrawals, payments, and related branch transactions.
  • Assist customers with account questions and guidance on digital banking.
  • Keep records accurate and stay aligned with bank rules, processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Look for ways to improve efficiency while maintaining a high standard of service.

What we’re looking for

You don’t need to meet every point to be considered. The ideal person is a team player who brings strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn, with a positive attitude that fits a fun and supportive workplace.

  • Friendly face-to-face customer service skills.
  • Solid numerical ability, administration capability, and comfort with technology.
  • Confidence supporting customers with transactions and digital banking help.
  • Careful record-keeping and an understanding of compliance and policy-driven work.

Working hours

You’ll work Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 08:15 to 16:45, for a total of 32 hours each week.
