About the Role
Mercor, a San Francisco-based company connecting top creative and technical experts with AI research labs, is seeking an Investment Banking Expert on a contract basis. This fully remote position offers compensation ranging from $150 to $220 per hour. Mercor's investors include Benchmark, General Catalyst, Peter Thiel, Adam D'Angelo, Larry Summers, and Jack Dorsey.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed grading standards tailored to banking deliverables such as financial models and valuation analyses.
- Evaluate both AI-generated and human-created work samples using established criteria, providing comprehensive written explanations for each assessment.
- Exercise consistent, evidence-driven judgment to make sure scoring can be reliably reproduced and defended.
- Incorporate structured feedback from senior reviewers and rapidly adjust your evaluations accordingly.
- Operate independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while contributing to AI model enhancement.
Qualifications
- At least two years of professional experience in investment banking at associate level or above.
- Experience with prominent global investment banks or prestigious advisory boutiques.
- Advanced expertise in three-statement financial modeling, transaction structuring, valuation assessment, and preparation of deal-related documentation.
- Outstanding written communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and openness to peer-reviewed evaluations.
- Preferred: Experience with AI training, evaluation, or data-related projects involving human input.
