Bakery Associate

About the Role

Joining Walmart Canada as a Bakery Associate offers an excellent opportunity to grow your retail and customer service skills. In this role, you will deliver outstanding customer experience while maintaining the bakery area’s presentation and stock, facilitating the sale of baked goods.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the quality and appearance of bakery products including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Ensure the bakery department stays well stocked and business-ready at all times.
• Properly price and sign all merchandise to comply with store policies.
• Adhere strictly to cold chain compliance guidelines, including thermometer calibration, temperature logging, food handling, product rotation, and managing sell-by and expiration dates.
• Execute food safety, sanitation, and cleaning procedures diligently.
• Follow correct protocols for ordering, clearance, markup, markdown, labeling, and signing of bakery items.
• Prepare bakery products by carefully following thawing and baking instructions to maintain product quality and presentation.
• Secure all bakery displays safely and properly within the store environment.

Compensation

The starting hourly pay for this position is $18.05 CAD.

Minimum Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
