Bakery Associate

Position Overview

Serving as a Bakery Associate at Walmart Canada offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your retail and customer service expertise. This role involves delivering outstanding customer service aligned with Walmart's core beliefs and values, maintaining and organizing the bakery section, and assisting with inventory and sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the quality and visual appeal of bakery products such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Ensure the bakery section is fully stocked and prepared for daily operations.
• Properly label and price all merchandise in the department.
• Comply with policies related to cold chain management, temperature monitoring, food handling, product rotation, and expiration date adherence.
• Follow food safety protocols and cleaning routines to maintain hygiene standards.
• Manage processes including ordering, clearance sales, pricing adjustments, labeling, and signage.
• Prepare bakery items by following precise thawing and baking instructions to guarantee quality and presentation.
• Secure all bakery displays safely and appropriately for customer and staff safety.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $19.05.

Minimum Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.
