Key Responsibilities
- Execute thorough screening of passengers, cabin baggage, and visitors following strict aviation security protocols.
- Operate X-ray and other security screening technologies proficiently.
- Diligently identify prohibited items and manage security threats in compliance with established procedures.
- Maintain adherence to airport security standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Provide courteous and professional customer service while upholding safety and security expectations.
- Document incidents meticulously and maintain accurate records related to security screening activities.
- Collaborate effectively with airlines, airport stakeholders, and law enforcement agencies.
Candidate Profile and Required Qualifications
- Experience in aviation screening or security, including operation of X-ray equipment, is highly favored.
- Applicants with prior screening or aviation sector experience will gain strong consideration.
- Understanding of aviation security regulations and commitment to compliance is necessary.
- Excellent observation skills, reliability, and ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential.
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented approach are required.
- Possession or preparedness to obtain a NSW Security Licence (Class 1A minimum) is mandatory.
- Desirable qualifications include an ASIC card, Certificate II in Transport Security Protection, current First Aid and CPR certification, White Card, Fire Warden and Traffic Control qualifications.
- An unrestricted NSW driver's license and the capacity to pass police, drug, and alcohol checks are required.
