About the Role
Join Airservices Australia as an Aviation Rescue Fire Fighter based in Alice Springs, Northern Territory. Requirements and Qualifications
No prior firefighting experience is necessary, as comprehensive paid training will be provided. Candidates should enjoy team collaboration, remain composed under pressure, be committed to fitness, demonstrate strong communication and decision-making abilities, and have a desire to contribute positively to their community.
- Completion of nationally recognized firefighting qualifications (delivered during initial training)
- Successful finishing of paid training held in Melbourne, including accommodation support
- Ongoing participation in operational and fitness training throughout the career
Training and Development
Selected candidates will undertake paid training at a world-class facility in Melbourne before joining operational crews in Alice Springs. Continued professional growth is encouraged through progressive skill-building and regular training exercises.
