Job description

About the Role

Kodiak Robotics is building autonomous ground transportation systems designed to make freight movement and public-sector mobility safer and more efficient. The company’s AI-driven technology stack is built for commercial trucking, and its autonomous technology is already moving freight daily across the southern United States. Kodiak also develops and tests self-driving capabilities for the U.S. Department of Defense.

This opening is for an experienced autonomous vehicle test operator who will support testing of autonomous technology at the Lancaster, Texas facility. The role requires onsite work and flexibility to cover day or night shifts.

What You’ll Do

  • Carry out driving tests and complete detailed reports so the hardware and software teams receive useful feedback.
  • Prioritize and manage test work in a busy, fast-moving environment.
  • Diagnose and help resolve issues affecting hardware and software systems.
  • Contribute to the creation of new procedures and policies for Texas operations.
  • Continuously observe the autonomous vehicle system to support safe and efficient operation.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate communicates clearly, works well with others, and keeps safety at the center of every task. The position calls for flexibility across day, night, and weekend shifts, and may involve occasional travel.
