Job description
Role overview
Moove AV is hiring an Autonomous Vehicle Detailer for depot operations in Miami, Florida. This position blends vehicle cleaning with charging support and is comparable to a vehicle prep or service agent role in a rental car environment. In this role, you help ensure the autonomous fleet is clean, charged, and prepared for riders.
Key duties
- Clean vehicle interiors and exteriors to the required standard, including vacuuming and detailing. Sensor areas such as cameras and lidar must be cleaned using specific procedures, which will be taught.
- Support charging workflows by moving vehicles to and from charging stalls, connecting and disconnecting chargers according to the daily queue, and reporting charging issues such as faulty cables, stuck ports, or low battery levels through the proper escalation path.
- Prepare sanitization supplies and disinfect vehicle interiors between trips. Handle biohazard situations such as vomit, blood, and spills in line with OSHA blood-borne pathogen procedures. PPE and training are provided.
- Update vehicle status in fleet software and communicate readiness through Google Chat. Vehicles cannot be released until they are marked ready, so accurate logging is essential.
- Stage vehicles in designated areas and complete handoff to the deployment team.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate has experience working in fast-paced vehicle cleaning environments such as rental car operations, dealership recon, or professional detailing. You should be comfortable using basic digital tools, including phone or tablet apps, chat-based communication, and simple status updates. Strong attention to detail is important, especially for issues beyond appearance such as dirty sensors, improperly connected cables, or batteries below target. You should be able to follow written SOPs closely and escalate anything outside the process instead of improvising. The role also requires the ability to stand and move throughout the shift, lift up to 20 lbs, and work outdoors in Miami conditions, including heat, humidity, and rain, in a partially covered lot.
Work environment
The depot is a technology-oriented setting where cleaning tools and charging equipment are part of a larger autonomous operations workflow. The workplace is structured and safety-focused, and the work has a direct impact on rider experience.
Compensation and benefits
- Starting pay of $20.00 per hour.
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
- Employer-paid health plans with no out-of-pocket cost.
- Paid time off.
- Holiday pay.
- Opportunities for growth through internal promotion.
Additional information
The company is looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining spotless vehicles and wants to work at the intersection of vehicle care and future transportation technology.
