Overview
FZ Equipments Private Limited is looking for a proficient AutoCAD Sheet Metal Designer to join their Hyderabad team. The position demands expertise in preparing detailed 2D sheet metal fabrication drawings along with a solid grasp of manufacturing processes involved in sheet metal production.
Primary Responsibilities
- Generate accurate 2D sheet metal fabrication drawings utilizing AutoCAD software.
- Design comprehensive part, assembly, and production drawings for manufacturing use.
- Develop flat patterns and specify bending information essential for fabrication.
- Interpret and analyze engineering drawings and related specifications effectively.
- Collaborate closely with production and quality assurance teams to ensure design feasibility and quality standards.
- Modify designs based on technical inputs from engineering and customer feedback.
- Ensure adherence to drawing standards and maintain proper documentation of all design work.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field.
- Strong command over AutoCAD software.
- Practical knowledge of sheet metal design principles, fabrication techniques, bending, and welding processes.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings; familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with effective problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
Additional Preferred Skills
- Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or related platforms is an advantage.
- Understanding of laser cutting, CNC punching, and press brake machinery operations.
- Knowledge of standard manufacturing and fabrication protocols and practices.
