AutoCAD Designer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Designer specializing in facade design within the architectural sector. The role involves converting architectural concepts into detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings tailored for facade systems, with a strong emphasis on aluminium fabrication and glazing solutions including curtain walls, windows, and doors. The designer will collaborate closely with engineers and on-site teams to ensure all drawings comply with relevant building regulations and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive and dimensioned shop drawings, elevations, and sections for glass facades, cladding, doors, and windows.
• Develop fabrication and assembly plans including cutting lists and installation schematics to support manufacturing processes.
• Produce accurate material take-offs such as Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Bill of Materials (BOM) to optimize material use and reduce waste.
• Specialize in detailing systems like curtain walls, unitized and semi-unitized panels, ACP cladding, spider glazing, and aluminum-based facade elements.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and site engineers by interpreting construction blueprints to ensure project alignment.
• Revise and update drawings to accommodate site changes and resolve fabrication or installation challenges in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient knowledge of facade systems including architectural and commercial applications.
• Expertise in designing glass facades, aluminum facades, ACP cladding, stone and metal cladding, and structural glazing.
• Familiarity with unitized curtain walls and skylight glazing systems.
• Ability to produce detailed fabrication drawings and perform material optimization.

Compensation

The monthly salary ranges between 30,000 and 80,000 INR based on experience and skillset.
