Audit Accountant

Opportunity Overview

Nexia Sydney invites applications for the role of an Accountant within their expanding Audit & Assurance division. This team consists of 50 professionals and 11 partners and is at the forefront of utilizing emerging audit techniques and technologies such as data analytics and project management tools. Key Responsibilities

You will manage a wide array of audit assignments across a varied client base. Your main duty is to ensure all audits align with the Nexia Audit Approach, while actively communicating with clients and offering valuable advice. Depending on your level of expertise, you may also lead planning, supervision, and completion of audit engagements.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in external auditing within a public accounting firm.
• In pursuit of or completion of an accounting qualification, preferably Chartered Accountant (CA).
• Possess strong professional and technical audit application skills.
• Sound understanding of Australian corporate reporting standards, including Accounting Standards, Corporations Act, and UIG.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, APS, and audit software (Caseware preferred).
• Effective oral and written communication abilities.
• Professional demeanor in client interactions.
• Excellent time management skills to optimize productivity.

Compensation

The salary begins at $85,700 per year inclusive of superannuation.
