Role Overview

The Audio Visual Technician role is a full-time, on-site position located in Doha, Qatar. The primary responsibility is to install, configure, and maintain audiovisual systems including displays, projectors, sound systems, lighting controls, and video conferencing equipment at client locations. Routine tasks involve system inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and supporting live events and presentations to ensure seamless operation and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain AV equipment such as displays, projectors, sound systems, lighting controls, and video conferencing setups.
• Conduct regular system inspections, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
• Support live events and presentations on-site, ensuring effective AV system functionality.
• Collaborate with project engineers and sales teams to understand and fulfill system requirements.
• Provide user training and basic technical support to clients for AV systems.
• Document system configurations, report technical issues, and follow company safety, quality, and compliance guidelines.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience working with Audio Visual (AV) systems including installation, configuration, and routine maintenance.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities for AV, connectivity, and hardware issues.
• Familiarity with video conferencing platforms and integrated communication systems.
• Working knowledge of lighting controls and projector operation in corporate, hospitality, or educational settings.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts relevant to AV integration, including IP addressing, cabling, and network switches.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals accurately.
• Previous exposure to AV technical support or systems integration roles is advantageous.
• Effective communication skills and capability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
• Willingness to work on client premises, sometimes beyond regular hours, while strict adherence to safety standards is required.
