This remote hourly contract is for an audio engineer who can support dubbing and voiceover work in a native English environment. The role is based in New Zealand and involves both production and post-production tasks for high-quality spoken audio projects.
The assignment requires a weekly commitment of 10 to 40 hours and offers compensation between $40 and $95 per hour.
What you will do
- Create, capture, and refine professional audio for dubbing and voiceover deliverables.
- Work closely with localization and content teams so audio assets fit smoothly into the wider project workflow.
- Handle post-production tasks such as cleaning up recordings, mastering audio, and aligning sound with video or source material.
- Adjust and localize scripts so the final dubbing sounds natural, clear, and context-appropriate.
- Assess audio and translated material, then share practical feedback to improve quality.
- Contribute to AI model training by preparing and evaluating high-quality audio data.
- Keep project notes organized and maintain consistent communication across tasks and stakeholders.
What we are looking for
- Native-level English ability, along with strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Hands-on background in audio engineering, dubbing, and voiceover production.
- Practical experience with script adaptation, translation, or localization work.
- Comfort using audio editing software and standard production workflows.
- Ability to juggle several assignments at once while meeting deadlines in a remote setup.
- Strong eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset.
- Exposure to AI-related workflows or audio data evaluation is preferred.
