Job purpose
The Associate - SAS role is responsible for managing the strategic rollout of Substation Automation Systems at the head office. The position focuses on integrating systems, improving performance, and ensuring compliance with technical standards to strengthen reliability and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Support contract administration for the infrastructure portfolio within renewable energy projects.
- Review contract language and make sure all parties follow the agreed terms.
- Track obligations, milestones, deliverables, and timelines under each contract.
- Keep contract files, amendments, and supporting records organized and up to date.
- Lead or support contract kick-off meetings and align expectations with contractors after award.
- Monitor project progress against contractual requirements and key milestones.
- Handle scope changes by updating and amending contracts when deviations arise.
- Assist with final account reconciliation and closure of contracts.
- Coordinate matters related to disputes, claims, extensions of time, and cost escalations.
- Ensure adherence to contract terms, applicable laws, and internal company policies.
- Monitor bank guarantees, securities, and related compliance items.
- Confirm timely completion of contractual commitments and defect liability obligations.
Technical and software requirements
- Working knowledge of SAP and Ariba systems.
- Comfort using MS Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Good understanding of infrastructure contracts such as building works, roads, and MEP works.
- Strong commercial and financial awareness.
Qualifications and experience
- A B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- Applicants should have 6 to 8 years of experience in infrastructure or construction projects.
- A certification in contract management will be considered an added advantage.
