Role overview

The Associate Relationship Officer in Community Banking is responsible for providing operational and customer service assistance to the coverage team. The role is based in Dubai and focuses on making sure portfolio servicing is delivered smoothly, accurately, and in line with internal procedures and regulatory obligations.

What you will do

  • Deliver day-to-day operational and service support to the Regional Manager and the assigned Relationship Managers.
  • Take ownership of account opening, account maintenance, and other service request processing from start to finish for portfolio customers.
  • Check and prepare client documents carefully to ensure they are complete, correct, and aligned with internal and regulatory standards.
  • Work with internal teams such as Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Risk to move client requests forward without delay.
  • Support KYC and ODD refreshes, RIM-related updates, licensing paperwork, and customer profile maintenance.
  • Respond to standard client queries within agreed timelines and route more complex matters to the appropriate stakeholder.
  • Assist with complaint tracking and follow-up until closure.
  • Keep an eye on dormant or inactive accounts, expired licences, and outdated signatories, and alert Relationship Managers about required actions.
  • Record and monitor requests in systems such as CRM and BPM, and follow up on open items.
  • Escalate potential risks, missing documents, or compliance concerns to the Regional Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Prior internship experience in customer service or an administrative role is preferred, especially in banking.
  • Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Awareness of AML and compliance concepts is preferred; training will be provided.
  • Strong time management, planning, and organising skills to meet deadlines.
  • Good problem-solving ability.

Additional information

This is a full-time onsite position in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role supports Community Banking operations and requires close coordination with multiple internal stakeholders. Any risks, documentation issues, or compliance matters must be escalated promptly to the Regional Manager.
