Role overview
The Associate Relationship Manager - JLG role in the JLG function is focused on strengthening banking relationships, delivering strong customer service, and supporting the growth of business through Joint Liability Groups and centres. This position works closely with the Relationship Manager to identify potential customers, convert them into business opportunities, and manage the customer journey from group formation through disbursal and collection. The role also emphasizes household-level relationship building, client acquisition, and long-term value creation.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out zoning exercises to understand household requirements in the villages and areas assigned.
- Perform end-user verification after loan disbursal and work toward monthly and yearly group loan booking goals.
- Assess customer needs, identify cross-sell opportunities, and create additional revenue based on lifestyle, risk profile, and requirements.
- Help expand liability business in new markets by generating leads and opening accounts according to customer needs.
- Meet personal and branch sales targets through fresh business acquisition, referrals, and retention of existing relationships.
- Maintain strong collection efficiency through consistent follow-up and disciplined execution.
- Ensure loan and savings account documentation is prepared accurately.
- Work with the operations officer to keep data entry timely and correct.
- Follow all compliance requirements set by the bank.
- Conduct field audits and customer checks to maintain account quality.
- Track market trends, gather intelligence, and benchmark practices against competitor banks.
- Suggest process improvements that enhance service quality and operating efficiency across the branch network.
- Support livelihood advancement and community development initiatives.
Secondary responsibilities
Deliver excellent customer service, strengthen retention through meaningful relationship management, and support product sales as well as new client acquisition.
Qualifications
A graduate degree is required.
Experience
0 to 2 years of relevant branch banking experience.
