About the role

Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management is hiring an Associate for its Product Strategy & Research team in Singapore. This team sits within Global Product Strategy and supports product development, strategy, and research across mutual funds, ETFs, collective investment trusts, and other pooled or registered products spanning public asset classes.

The role is focused on helping shape product decisions for clients across Asia Pacific ex-Japan by combining market insight, competitive analysis, client feedback, and product evaluation. You will work with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop actionable recommendations, strengthen product positioning, and support growth initiatives across distribution channels.

Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management works with a broad global client base, including pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, endowments, foundations, financial advisors, and individual investors. Responsibilities

  • Track industry and product trends to help inform asset management product decisions.
  • Support prioritization of products for different client segments across Asia Pacific ex-Japan by reviewing market data, client needs, and competitor positioning.
  • Analyze current fund offerings, including performance and structure, and suggest ways to keep the lineup relevant to clients and market conditions.
  • Create product messaging, competitive analysis, and growth ideas for both internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Prepare product- and content-related materials for meetings with senior leaders, governance groups, distribution teams, investment teams, and clients.
  • Use external research tools and databases such as Morningstar, Broadridge, and eVestment to study market trends and competitors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; CFA qualification is preferred.
  • At least 4 years of experience in the financial industry.
  • Working knowledge of asset management products such as mutual funds and ETFs, ideally with familiarity in the Asia Pacific ex-Japan marketplace.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical topics.
  • English proficiency is mandatory.
  • Mandarin or Korean is strongly preferred because the role involves frequent interaction with Asia-based stakeholders and market updates.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, a proactive work style, commercial awareness, and a strategic mindset.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Comfort using industry data platforms such as Morningstar Direct, Broadridge, and eVestment.
