Job description

Role overview

Google is hiring an Associate Product Marketing Manager to join its APMM program, a worldwide early-career track for marketers. In this role, you will contribute to priority marketing work, strengthen a broad set of marketing capabilities, collaborate with peers and alumni, and receive guidance from mentors and senior leaders. The position may be based in Sunnyvale, CA, and may also be located at the Playa Vista, CA campus. Candidates can indicate a preferred work location from San Francisco, Mountain View, New York, Los Angeles, San Bruno, Seattle, Sunnyvale, or Kirkland.

The role is open for the Fall 2026 cohort. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

What you will do

You will support marketing initiatives that help advance business goals, working on assigned projects with general direction. Typical work may include shaping how users are represented in product development, helping create go-to-market plans to build awareness and adoption for new products or features, supporting growth marketing and optimization work, contributing to brand strategy, gathering user insights, and helping manage campaigns and related programs. The program includes at least two distinct project assignments, dedicated learning opportunities, and broad networking across Google and the marketing community.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to go-to-market plans and launch campaigns for new products or features, and help track results against key performance indicators.
  • Support customer acquisition programs, including messaging, business materials, events, and engagement activities, while helping evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Help assess product and feature enhancements, launch readiness, and user communication needs so the offering better serves user expectations.
  • Assist in creating executive and client-facing stories, presentations, case studies, and other materials that help build momentum with customers and agency partners.
  • Carry out marketing tasks tied to a larger project while working under managerial guidance.

Qualifications and experience

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree or have equivalent practical experience. Relevant background can come from full-time roles, internships, projects, or academic coursework in marketing, brand management, strategy consulting, agencies, technology, or related areas.

Preferred candidates bring around 3 years of full-time experience, a strong interest in Google’s product ecosystem and AI leadership, a global mindset, comfort working through ambiguity, strong analytical and investigative thinking, and solid program management plus communication abilities.

Benefits and compensation

For eligible US-based employees, the benefits package includes health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan with company match; paid vacation; sick leave; maternity and baby bonding leave; and paid holidays.

  • Vacation: 20 days per year, accrued at 6.15 hours per pay period during the first five years.
  • Sick leave: 40 hours per year, or 69 hours per year for Seattle, plus 5 discretionary sick days per instance.
  • Maternity leave: 28 to 30 weeks when combining short-term disability and baby bonding.
  • Baby bonding leave: 18 weeks.
  • Holidays: 13 paid days each year.

Compensation is determined by factors such as role-related skills, experience, and education or training. The stated US pay range is $95,000 to $136,000 annually, plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.

Legal and additional information

Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered under applicable fair chance laws in Los Angeles County and San Francisco, along with the California Fair Chance Act. Google also notes compliance with Washington state law regarding benefits disclosure for eligible US employees.
