Job description
About the Company
Razorpay is a major Indian fintech company that helps businesses handle, move, and grow money through a full-stack financial platform. Established in 2014 by Harshil Mathur and Shashank Kumar, the company was built to make payments simpler for Indian businesses and has since become a key player in the country’s digital payments transformation. Its platform now supports millions of businesses with capabilities that extend beyond payments, including AI-driven payment experiences, fraud detection support, real-time risk intelligence, automated reconciliation, smart payouts, and predictive financial insights.
Working with banks, payment networks, and regulators, Razorpay continues to develop new solutions that influence the future of fintech. Its products operate across India, Singapore, and Malaysia, spanning use cases such as checkout, payroll automation, collections, payouts, and broader money management. The company serves early-stage startups as well as large enterprises, and its annualized transaction volume exceeds $180 billion. Its customer base includes names such as Airbnb, Facebook, WhatsApp, Airtel, CRED, BookMyShow, Zomato, Swiggy, Lenskart, Mirae Asset Capital Markets, Indian Oil, and the National Pension Scheme, along with more than 100 unicorns.
Backed by investors including GIC, Peak XV Partners, Tiger Global, Ribbit Capital, Matrix Partners, MasterCard, and Salesforce Ventures, the company has raised over $740 million. Its growth has also been strengthened through acquisitions such as Ezetap, Curlec, BillMe, and POP, along with earlier expansion into fraud prevention, payroll, and lending.
Razorpay emphasizes ownership, learning, transparency, and strong hiring based on attitude and drive. The culture encourages autonomy, cross-level collaboration, and a focus on building long-term financial infrastructure for the region.
