Role Overview
Mattel is seeking a driven and detail-focused Associate Marketing Analyst to support the growth of Hot Wheels in the U.S. market. This role contributes to brand marketing execution, commercialization milestones, and analysis that helps shape go-to-market plans, retail programs, and consumer-facing activations. The position partners closely with Global Brand, Sales, Retail Marketing, Demand Planning, and other cross-functional teams to help bring Hot Wheels to life through campaigns, experiences, and retailer partnerships.

The team is looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who is comfortable in a fast-moving environment and brings curiosity, initiative, and a passion for marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and help execute Hot Wheels U.S. marketing programs and product launches.
- Prepare marketing assets, supporting documents, and presentation materials.
- Monitor project schedules and follow through so deliverables stay on track.
- Keep project records, activation documentation, and milestone tracking organized and up to date.
- Support consistent, high-quality execution across consumer and retail contact points.
- Contribute to initiatives designed to improve U.S. business performance.
- Research market patterns, competitor activity, and consumer behavior at a basic level.
- Summarize data and assist with reporting and internal insight-sharing.
- Help update marketing templates, tools, and tracking systems.
- Assist with testing and rolling out new workflows or process improvements.
- Maintain structured records and shared resources.
- Work with Sales, Trade Marketing, Licensing, and Supply Chain teams by preparing reports and inputs that support demand planning.
- Help prepare for retailer meetings and internal presentations or forums.
- Take part in team discussions and collaborative meetings.
- Support engagement with other regions when needed.
- Check that data, reporting, and tracking tools remain accurate and consistent.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a similar discipline.
- 0 to 2 years of relevant internship, academic, or project-based experience.
- Strong curiosity and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
- Comfort challenging assumptions and looking for better ways of working.
- Solid analytical judgment and structured thinking.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, or equivalent tools.
