About the Role
The Associate Manager, Partnerships Marketing, is responsible for managing strategic partner relationships and driving growth initiatives to boost subscriber numbers, brand awareness, engagement, and retention for The Walt Disney Company's direct-to-consumer platforms including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN, and Disney bundle offerings. Current key partners include LG, Samsung, Vizio, PlayStation, and Xbox. Additionally, the role involves exploring new partnership opportunities that leverage partner strengths to enhance the DTC business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main daily liaison for partners, fostering collaborative relationships that support shared business goals aligned with company aims.
- Manage communications with partners across Disney+, Hulu, ESPN DTC services, and Disney bundles, ensuring all are aligned in terms of programming focus, campaign tactics, and promotional activities.
- Conceptualize and implement scalable co-marketing campaigns aimed at increasing subscriber acquisition, engagement, and retention levels.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams such as Brand Marketing, Title Marketing, Creative, Legal, Programming, Product Marketing, and International Marketing to synchronize campaign materials and secure timely approvals.
- Share insights and best practices with both local and global stakeholders to enhance collective efforts and bolster efficiency.
- Identify and help apply process improvements across operations to bolster execution and delivery of marketing campaigns.
- Oversee full campaign execution related to major content events and brand promotions, ensuring partners receive deliverables on schedule.
- Provide strong project management expertise, managing reporting, asset requests, and approval workflows.
- Support executive leadership by preparing comprehensive campaign recaps, strategic briefs, partner presentations, and performance reports.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 3 years in marketing or partnership roles within subscription or direct-to-consumer sectors, preferably media, streaming, or consumer tech; agency experience with relevant clients is valuable.
- Exposure to international markets or collaboration with global teams is advantageous.
- Deep understanding of the streaming and connected TV (CTV) industry landscape.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute cross-channel marketing strategies independently within complex organizations.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong partnerships with cross-functional and senior stakeholders.
- High-level critical thinking and problem-solving skills with minimal supervision.
- Capacity to rapidly build productive relationships that maximize business outcomes.
- Adaptability and proactive approach in a fast-paced environment with a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Analytical capabilities to evaluate campaign data for strategy refinement.
- Contributes positively to team culture by supporting colleagues and encouraging shared success.
- Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Keynote, PowerPoint, and AirTable.
Compensation and Additional Information
The position's salary range in Glendale, CA is $87,100 to $116,800 annually. Offered pay will be based on internal equity and may differ depending on geographic location, experience, and skill set. Additional compensation could include bonuses or long-term incentives. Comprehensive benefits covering medical, financial, and other areas are available depending on level and role.
