Job description
Role overview
In this role, you will join the Artist & Label Partnerships group and help drive initiatives with labels, artists, and managers. The focus is on supporting frontline label partners and distributors through meaningful programs, strong relationship management, and day-to-day operational support. You will partner with the Music Partnerships & Audience team on local strategies and collaborate with international colleagues on global campaigns. A key part of the job is also helping with partner-facing technical issues and routine troubleshooting.
This opportunity is intended for someone who loves independent music, brings prior partner-management experience, and can stay organized while balancing multiple programs, campaigns, and team needs.
The position is based in Los Angeles or New York and reports to the Lead, Indie Partnerships & Programs. It is a hybrid role with three in-office days each week.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as an external point of contact for label partnership work and build productive relationships with frontline label partners.
- Help design and deliver new artist development initiatives that create value for both the company and its industry partners.
- Support senior colleagues on major marketing efforts, urgent projects, and daily administrative and coordination tasks.
- Assist with education-focused programs for the independent music sector, including masterclasses and roadshows.
- Organize incoming requests, release timelines, and key information from label and management contacts.
- Review, route, and help carry out requests that arrive through multiple internal and external channels.
- Look for ways to make team operations smoother and more efficient.
- Arrange meetings, artist sessions, and label visits.
- Capture clear, organized notes during internal and external meetings.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate has 2–3+ years of experience in partner management, project coordination, and global marketing campaigns. They should bring a strong appreciation for music across genres and cultures, along with practical knowledge of the music business, including label and/or management experience. Familiarity with the independent frontline music space, its major players, current trends, and competitive landscape is important.
Success in this role also depends on strong relationship-building skills, direct and transparent communication, excellent organization, and the ability to work accurately under tight deadlines. The environment is fast-moving, so comfort with rapid change, a proactive mindset, and a collaborative attitude are essential. Candidates should also be willing to travel and attend evening and weekend events.
Compensation and location
The expected hiring pay range for this position is $43.00 to $45.00. Final pay is determined by factors such as education, relevant experience, certifications, and location.
This role can be based in either the Los Angeles office or the New York office.
Additional information
This is a temporary role. The schedule is hybrid, with three onsite days required each week. Evening and weekend participation, as well as travel, may be needed.
